This Is Not An Add To Get Rich

I am a discouraged writer. I love to write. It occupies a large part of my brain and I am constantly thinking of new things to write about. I am discouraged because I have found out the hard way that writing is not a good way to make a steady income. I went to college believing that if I worked hard for a degree in English, I would make great money and live a comfortable life. The truth? Writing books pays low and writing blogs pays even lower. You can write freelance, but this is a very unreliable means of income, and have you seen the turnover rate for columnists? So, now I am getting my degree in Information Technology and writing on the side. It truly breaks my heart to know that I can never do what I love for my main means of income though. I am waiting for my approval from Google Adsense so I can make literal pennies from this blog.
